  • bike child seats – front or back mount ?

    Hi

    just after advice on bike child seats – seems to be either crossbar front mount or behind saddle via a mount fixed to rear upright tube

    I **feel** that front mount would be better, mainly if you do have to bail you can at least protect ??

    Do the front mounts interfere with pedaling etc ?

    Any tips appreciated, Cheers

    Back if you value your knees. If you have to bail, you won’t be protecting anything. But you won’t have to bail.

    Cars magically give you more room too.
