Any recommendations on the least faffy way to do this?

Got a velovault box I need to put on a roof rack (Thule bars with t-track) to get it to the airport. Tempted to drill 4 holes in the box and use T-track adapters to fit it to the rack, though want something that isn’t going to be a PITA to get off and on. Be easier just to strap it on I guess.

    Thanks.

Upright or on its side? Have you considered the surface area and wind?

    On its side.

I would just use 3 bits of rope to tie it down…

1 for each bar and then one ‘length ways’ to stop any sliding forwards/backwards.

Don’t see the need to drill holes in the box. (Carried my bike boxed/bagged many times like this)

Yes you are probably right. Thought using the t tracks would be quite a neat way to do it but it’s probably more hassle than it’s worth.
