Got to get to Gatwick (and from Nice to Finale) with the family and one bike ready to fly. I’ve got an estate (Audi A4) and thinking I may be able to get the bike bag in the boot (resting on and over the back seats so the kids and sit on the seats – anyone done this?

Other option could be roof rack for the bike and put the bikebag in the boot.

Split rear seat? If so, put the bike upside down, along the length of the car. Wheels off, stored in bike bag alongside bike, to protect bike from child.

    Split rear seat?

My immediate thought too, just shuffle the kids to one side and (hopefully) everything slots in nicely

Managed in a Volvo V50 estate with the split rear seat same situation no problems for two weeks in Spain, Though depends on the other half’s packing regime…

I suppose I’m going to take the bars off and wheels anyway so that could be the best option. Hadn’t even considered that. Doh!!!
