Anyone use them? Do they work? Do they take much getting used to?

My optician is getting me some samples. I like the idea, but being a middle aged IT guy, I fear change.

monovision is way cheaper. One lens for close, one for far, and you only notice the one which is sharp 🙂 Despite resistance from the optician, I have my glasses the same.

perhaps 5 minutes to adapt on first use.

I’ve worn contacts for about 25 years and tried the bifocal lenses as I also have varifocal glasses. Simply couldn’t get on with them and have reverted to normal lenses and using reading glasses as and when necessary (although my eyesight has changed so that I don’t need to use the reading glasses as much).

    1) single vision contact lenses – these make you just like anybody else
    2) reading glasses.

This may work while wearing said contacts but as soon as you take them out, you’re back to square 1
