Looking for a pair of xc forks (80mm ish) for a mates bike. Any suggestions or bargains out there?

A bit cheeky on the bike forum, but actually, I have some 85mm ’05 Marz MX comps your mate could have. Not light, but very very reliable, and while Marz are traditionally quite tall axle to crown, they handled fine (very well in fact) on my old kona. Email in profile if interested.

what ANDH said is your best bet, you aren’t going to get a ‘decent’ fork for under £100 new, you only option is 2nd hand.

The cheapest decent forks are RS Tora and Marz MX’s – go check out there prices and then send ANDH an email…

merlin had some 80mm Toras a couple of weeks ago for £80 brand new.

It was the Tora’s and MX’s I was looking at, a few ££ over but not bad.

Not the lightest but I’ve seen Tora SLs on fleabay for about £110.
Or pick something secondhand.
