Hi,
Am currently training for London to Brighton in the evenings and am normally just a weekend warrior so no need for lights. I realised how poor my lights were last night on the road bike.
Will be getting lighter soon so do not want to spend big bucks. Want a complete set with charger etc ideally UK based.
What do you think?

not uk based but DX lights are cheap, work well and delivery is good at the moment.
£50 or there abouts, very reliable in my experience, & throughly recommended (along with the DX site). Some UK shops/websites are selling them for a lot more, so you can get it from the UK by paying a permium.

Three mode, the high is for proper off-roading but the low is fine for road use and you can still 'see' by the light (it doesn't just make you visible to car drivers)
Second the DX option. I'd add a couple of rear lights - Blackburn Mars 3 is my favourite - one set on constant, one on flash. Also add a back up front LED light incase the DX battery goes mid ride. All that should be got for under budget.
yup, superb lights the DX p7 magicshine.
Wouldnt recommend buying from dealextreme mind as they take a horrifically long time due to stock demands.
search ebay, spend a fiver more and get it in a couple days!
Ok, great get one off ebay and pay a bit more.
Have rear lights already one solid one flashing. The ones on the front are fine to be seen I just cant see where im going 
just got myself the 2 cell nukeproof reactor from crc recived it today and its a v.nice well built bit of kit.
this is a dx light 5mode but comes with english charger
For £100 I'd get two P7 torches from DealExtreme. You can drop in a new cell when it does go off. Plus you get twice the light output.
Oh, & if thats not enough the concensus is that the torches are more reliable than the bastids.

How do you get twice the light output? Both lights are pumping out the same amount of light so running 2 won't give you brighter light - just a wider spread of light.
Saying that, I'd highly recommend the MTE P7 light from Dealextreme - I got the torch, charger and 6 batteries for £52 delivered when they first appeared, but I believe the same order now is about £40 delivered - can't complain at that.
Some of the UK-based site doing the Magicshine aren't using the right battery so the low battery indicator remains on constantly...but you do get delivery much quicker so might be worth paying the extra money.

I don't know the technicalities, but I think you're wrong there.

You need to ring them before ordering as they don't update their website often enough to keep track of stock
