I've got a Rennen Rollenlager on the way, no moving parts except the roller and $20.00 cheaper than the Yess:

The Rennen? Not according to reviews I've read and wouldn't be any noisier than the rollers on a MRP.

Anything without a proper toothed-cog.

For the money, On-One Doofer works great for me

If you still have the Surly remove the spring and take a grinder to the shank on the bolt so it clamps in place rather than sprung.
