    My trusty Nikes have finally given up so am on the lookout for a new pair. Stiff-soled race-type shoe. Any thoughts?

    Have heard Shimano are good but strange sizing (up a size, or 2)? Have Specialized Defrosters for winter but haven’t worn them that much to be honest.

    I rather like my Mavic Rush shoes. Nice and stiff, comfy and good value.

    Mavic Switchbacks

    Ignore the crap review in this months’ WMB, mine have been brill (and as with all shoes, gaffer over the cleat fittings once installed).
