If your budget is £600 try to borrow extra £98.24 and get Merida BigNine 900 – in the UK it comes with Manitou Marvel Comp forks, which are fantastic!

@shanelechef, the 2014 Big Nine 300 had a coil fork, you need to get a 2015 one for air.

EDIT – you would probably be a 19″ at 5’10” unless you’ve got crazy proportions.

5′ 11″ on an 18″ Fireline (same geo as Parkwood) and it fits fine for my longer torso/arms and shorter legs with 50mm stem and 711 bars.

5′ 10 on a 17″ May be fine for you, depends on your proportions, whether you’re regular size in both upper and lower body and top tube length of bike.

If going for a 29er then go for as short a stem as possible to keep the handling more responsive and flat /wide bars stop the front from feeling like it wants to lift off the ground on steep climbs.
What do you ride at the mo and what’s the top tube length?

Bizango is a great bike and well worth upgrading, only the frame left on mine, but what a frame.
