    Cynic-Al to the thread!

He used an old Marin single pivot, IIRC. Steel swingarm so easy to chop and reweld with wider stays.

I’ve saw a Cannondale converted in the past, I’ll try to find a pic.

The marin looks decent, but I’m looking at building an indestructable 200mm freeride beast. Anyone got any suggestions for a steel full sus frame?

Check out an old Balfa BB7. They came with a steel swingarm.

The obvious suggestion would be (from a geometry and wheel outer diameter point) to start with a 29er frame. On mtbr someone did it with an old gary fisher, looked pretty decent.

    Cotic Rocket? Steel frame.

    Use a mixture of frames

Use an on one 456 or similar front

And for the back end use something like a giant trance
