the GF’s sister is leaving her job at Sony Music and tells us now (after having worked there for five years!) that she gets any CDs she wants for free….!!!

i thought it was odd that her mum went to some random concert (La Brass Banda…) that the GF and i paid to go and see. turns out she got the tickets from the GFs sister.

so, which bands, groups, singers, musicians on Sony labnel do you recommend?

    she leaves on 10th December…

Well, there’s all this lot, which a very quick google search would have given you:
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sony_Music_artists
There’s Paul Simon, Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters, Leonard Cohen, Simon & Garfunkel, and a couple of others that I’d be interested in, but I already have everything by them anyway, so I’m out.

It’s not just old fogies on Sony! If you like new soul/rock stuff, these were on Later the other week – St Paul & The Broken Bones. Not my kind of thing, but I can understand the appeal, I would have a free CD!
Or for some techno-minimal type stuff there’s Paul Kalkbrenner
Pop-wise, Adam and the Ants (reissues), The Coral, Drake, Faithless.
There’s Leftfield, Cypress Hill and the Clash reissues…
    Depends what yer into dunnit.
