Flying into this airport in a couple of weeks. Not been before and looks to be quite a way from the action.

Any tips for stress free transfers?

I had a long weekend in the summer for a gig in one of the parks. System of a down. And did a couple of touristy sightseeing on the other days

The fat bike tours are fun at the TV tower.

Don’t worry the transport system is superb. 5 minute walk from the airport to the u-bahn.

The self service machines for the ubahn have english options.

    Hope this helps.

Just get on the bus outside. Straight into the city and connects easily with the S-Bahn. There might even be a train station, but either way, it’s Berlin – public transport is excellent.

Sweet. Thanks chaps. Too used to the UK version of public transport (otherwise known as ‘don’t bother, buy a car/bike’)

theres also a train into town – make sure you have enough euros as the machines don’t take cards

    atleast not last October

Plenty of busses run from the terminal door that connect up to the Ubahn or the S-Bahn station is a bit of a walk from the terminal but it’s all covered if the weather is bad.

Be aware that if you get airport express train back to airport you might have to kick your way through a gaggle of stupid British people who block all the doors and refuse to move in case they miss the airport 😀
