The last couple of rides I’ve had I’d noticed that when I changed into a certain gear the chain was jumping on the cassette a lot. When I got in today I gave the bike a good clean and while cleaning the cassette noticed that on the 18t ring two of the teeth are slightly bent towards the 16t ring 😮

The cassette is a Sram PG980, all of 3 months old if that. Is there anyway that I can straighten the teeth out or is it goodbye vienna and replacement time?

    Cheers 🙂

Take the cassette off so you dont damage the freehub and use a hammer and drift to try bending them back (a little at a time of course. My mate bent his 11 tooth on his road bike but there was no way it would straighten without an industrial press!
Dont forget that should you manage to straighten it your jockey wheels may be worn too and your chain may well be trashed.
