  • Bedgebury – best in the south east?

Article in the Evening Standard today on places to live for Londoners who want to keep fit in the country reported that Bedgebury Forest is the top spot for biking in the south east, citing British Cycling.

Lazy article? Or has Bedgebury quietly improved shedloads in the past few years?

It’s my local (ride from my village to bedgers via bewl) nothing really testing, but a nice ride for a few laps. Bluebell hill is supposed to be good, but i never get the time to head over there.

I’ve ridden there a few times not long after it opened – was just wondering if it had improved since then to warrant the ‘best in’ tag. Is it still just the one singletrack route then?
