My GF has a carbon boardman road bike. It has FSA chainset that says BB30 on it. There is an awful creak when pedalling and its done about 3k miles. Will this be a pressfit BB? Or the one with circlips? What can be done to salvage it, or what should i buy to replace or upgrade it?

    Thanks

    What year and model.?

The chainset will be a BB30 but the bottom bracket could be a PF30 or BB30. Either way whip the cranks out and check the bearings for smoothness. Sometimes a slip of grease on the axle is enough to stop the clicking. If the bearings feel anything less than buttery smooth then get the BB replaced.

It will be a BB30 bottom bracket not a PF30 in the “2014” model. BB30 never was the most robust of designs. It’s worth considering a praxis BB converter and Shimano chainset if your pockets can stretch to that.
