I’m looking at a Ridley x night cx bike, which has 1×10 sram gxp.

I want to put my bb30 cx1 chain set on it. I’m assuming I can just take out the gxp gubbins, and the bb30 gubbins will fit straight in. Much like when I replaced my old fsa ISIS with the cx1 on my current bike.

    Am I right?

    Cheers

If its a BB30 crank with a 68mm spindle it won’t fit as there’s no room for the bearings. You might be able to fit a longer spindle, depending on make or model of crank – it’s a flippin nightmare the number of incompatible BB standards!

I’ve found the spec for the frame. It looks like a bb30 frame, and the previous owner has stuck in a gxp shim…

Absolutely agree though. The varying standards are ridiculous.
