    Hi,
Anyone know if the batteries for a SolarStorm X2 and the generic DX 1600lm lights are interchangeable?

Apart from the connector being non screw on, yes

I’ve seen generic lights with 4.2v batteries (8.4 is the norm), therefore I’d check the voltage before interchanging. Should be printed on the battery somewhere.

A few weeks ago I blew up a generic 1200LM light by connecting a 4.2 light to an 8.4 battery.

They are, yeah. I have both and whilst the batteries will fit, the connectors are slightly different so the chargers aren’t compatible both ways. I suspect there are a few different batteries/combinations kicking around though so YMMV.
