Need help, ive no idea about electrics, my eBay light’s charger doesn’t seem to be working. My charger is rated at 8.4v dc, 1000ma. I’ve found another at 10v 1000ma – is it ok to use this or what will the difference in voltage do?

Buy one that is designed for the type of battery pack you have eg NiCd/NiMH or Lithium-ion.

Smudge at MTBbatteries sells charges as well as batteries, all of his are ce approved so you should have no worries about overcharging or faults. Smudge is also a very decent person to deal with.

Another option for you would to be getting a spare battery with new charger from roughrideguides for your magicshine light but you would have to check if the battery is compatible first.

Not a good idea to use a 10 volt charger on 8.4 volt Li Ion battery
