  • Bathroom downlights – LED?

Whoever did our bathroom fitted some properly shonky downlights that are always failing. I think they’re the minimum acceptable bathroom spec, cheapest of the cheap.

So I’m looking to replace them so what decent fittings can I use – they’re plain white fixed 50w mr16 units at the mo, but I assume LED is the way to go these days?

Fitted LEDs in mine. work very well. Be careful to get warm white ones tho – at first I got ordinary one that were not very nice in the morning

convert to GU10s if you can – easy if each downlighter has its own transformer. They probably will fit in the same fittings

Yeh no reason not to use LED really, but as above, there are a range of colour temperatures, so a warm white with a bit more red in it will likely be more preferable as opposed to a cold white which errs more to the blue.
