    Buenos dias!

We are off to Barcelona for Christmas and despite forward planning we’ve failed to get a spot in our intended restaurant for Christmas Eve (Tickets #firstworldproblem).

Anyone have any recommendations for anywhere else that’s a bit special?

Llamber was fantastic. A really interesting menu, great service, in a nice setting. The brandy cocktails were lovely too 😛

I’ll certainly be going back the next time I visit.

16 years since I ate there but Rough Guide recommended a traditional wood panelled joint near the sea, it was great.

The Spanish version of Subway does excellent tortilla baguettes.

You can have that for free.

    no menu! Am intrigued….

    From memory, it goes a little like this;
    Prawns
    Clams
    More prawns
    Sea Snails
    Mussels
    Razor clams
    Whitebait
    Calamari
    Prawns
    Padron peppers
    Jamon
    Prawns
    Pan con tomate
    Probably some more prawns

Then, they ask if you would like the meat or the fish. (Glorious steak, or whatever the catch of the day is).

Finally, they leave a few bottles of digestifs, dessert liqueurs etc to have with your coffee.

La Sopa Boba. Good enough for Malia Obama to get a table while we were eating.

Tickets Tapas Bar & Restaurant, pricy but different.

Satan’s Coffee Corner, near the cathedral for a coffee afterwards.

Spoonik if you fancy some slightly Heston-esque fine dining. When we went you ate in the chefs house but I think they may now have opened a proper restaurant.

Genuinely one of the best dining experiences of my life.

Tickets fully booked unfortunately – that was our first choice.

You have more than one night, though, Wallop! Make the most of it! 🙂

Indeed! We’ve got four nights – Christmas Day already sorted. Tickets not an option for any other night (fully booked or closed) but there are some amazing suggestions in this thread and we’ve fired off a few emails. It’s coming together!

Santa Gula. It’s a little neighbourhood place that’s awesome.

Enjoy. Did not see this first time round but my tip is Botamfeuro – sit at the bar or a table. Spot the celebs in the photos everywhere
