In the market for a wider bar and i really fancy the Hope one. Keep seeing January as a release date. Anyone know if this is happening?

I’d wait until you see it on websites and in mags, then give it six to eight months

Hope its better than the long wait for their cranks…which were like a wonder bra. Look great from the outside but a complete disappointment in practice!

How about bars from another UK company?
Burgtec to the RideWide in Alu and Carbon.
See here, lots of other lovely bits on their site too.

Anyone know whether USE bars are MADE in the UK?

As far I know burgtec bars are not UK made and nor are USE bars. Like Renthal, they make some bits in the UK, but bars are made elsewhere. Though I didn’t mention it in my original post UK origin is important to me.

Pity Burgtec don’t do a “stealth” version of the bars – the bright yellow logo is just a bit too much for me.

He said this above your comments.

I think your only Hope (eh, eh..) is to wait for the Hopes to be released.
Lots of UK brands producing bars, but none are of UK origin.

Afaik both Burgtec and Renthal aluminium bars are UK made.
It’s just the carbon that they ship in.

No – they’re all made in the far east. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

Ah, the interview Pinkbike conducted with then in their first look at the carbon bar made it sound like the carbon bar was the first made abroad.

It’s not explicitly stated though so I guess it’s just a bad assumption.
