    Hello ST massive,

I was suffering from lower back pain for a while spending lots of money on physios till I discovered that I was just lacking core strength.

I have quite a lot of spacers under stem to raise the bars thinking this would help with the back pain, but now the back pain is gone, should I leave them as they are or take them away?

How would lowering bar height affect handling?

PS. I seem to get on just fine at the mo. I just did a double take the other day when my bike was lined up next to my mates.

Lower front end = more front end grip, but harder to loft the front end/more likely to go over the bars.

Does the bike feel great to ride as it is, or do you feel like you should be leaned forward more?

There is no “right” bar height, there are recommendations as to basic setup though.
If you are happy with the bike then leave it as is.

Nowt wrong with trying a different set up though – don’t whack all the spacers on top for the sake of it, but try moving one and see if you like it more/less.
