  • Bar bung in bottom of steerer. Will I die?

    As above. Found an old bar bung in the bits box. Shoved it in steerer to keep crud out. Any reason not to?

    Extremely dangerous thing to do!
    After prolonged trail shredding you may find a pressure build up in the steerer assy causes the stem top cap to burst and thus blasting you whole damn face off!!!!

    Note: only applies to 650b ers

    On a serious note, drill a small hole in the bung to let the water that does make it’s way in, out.

    It depends.
    If the steerer is what you call a person in charge of a tandem, they might not like you much…
