Some TT riders certainly balance disc wheels where there is a cutout for the valve

Tyres don’t get balanced for motorsport generally, there just isn’t much point unless you’re on really smooth tarmac, most rally boys never balance any tyres.

There’s so many other variables, particularly off road, and it’s so easy to knock weights off, I just can’t see much, perhaps any benefit.

I imagine the speeds involved mean it’s not an issue for mtbers
