pastcaring – yes and yes 😆 . I always run my seat nose up – makes bail outs easier when you have zero standover clearance 😡 . Started running plastic BMX pedals last summer and fully intended to revert to alu ones come the gloopy winter . . . no need though, they’ve been plenty grippy enough and my shins thank me.

i tried plastic pedals a few years ago, changed them the first time it rained…

I run my seat at a little below x/c height (I still ride like a singlespeeder despite having returned to gears a while ago – must learn to sit down more) but, yes, I am tiny(ish). I think I must’ve shrunk since 1997 😕 . Plastic pedals and hard soled shoes such as Shimano are a definite no-no but Converse/Etnies, etc are great – probably more grippy than alu pedals in the wet.

Looks good Luke 8) . Yeah, I prefer the older version too. Had a very battered Tazer FS as well, with rewelded seat stays – lovely lovely bike but climbed like a dog due to the super-slack seat angle.
