    Pulled the muscles in my back yesterday, right hand side, now extremely painful and cant bend or lift anything, pain spasms when i reach out, have thrown 2 cups of tea on the floor just trying to drink them as a spasm comes and feels like someone pulling a cord in your back and down your arm.

    Tried a hot shower, and a cool one, paracetemol and co codamol, along with ralgex, not all at the same time though .
    Any tips or hints etc, eed to be fit for work again on Monday and doing a lot of lifting.

    Speak to a professional rather than internet specialist?
    If you want help from an internet specialist, here goes, I find this paricularly good for bad backs.
    Go stand in the middle of the garden with a Father Christmas hat on.
    Wait for it to start raining/snowing.
    Remove all your clothes, leaving the hat on, of course.
    Stick a bouquet of roses up your ‘arris.
    Do the Macarena to the track blasting at full volume.
    Generally works for me, but it might not suit everyone.

    My tip would be if it still hurts on Monday (or even if it doesn’t tbh), don’t do any heavy lifting! Don’t make the mistake I did and treat a back injury lightly, it could lead to much more serious problems. See your GP and get a referral for Physio if it gets any worse. They may prescribe anti inflammatories as well as painkillers, but don’t rely on these to get better. Could be a rotator cuff injury (sp?) Colleague of mine had this and it took a long while to recover.
