Got to love a two stroke. Especially a mental 500cc one. One of the lads had one of these with the nackers tuned out of it. As he said ‘It’ll pass anything…. except a ****ing petrol station!” 😀

And of course the definitive hooligans bike…

gearfreak – if you lusted after a V-Max you’d obviously never ridden one. There are supertankers with more nimble handling

Hope he’s well? Not seen him in years but I used to be on the Yamaha GB Enduro team with Ady.
Had some right good laughs with him. 😀

A bit of a “you had to be there” thing. The Katana appeared as a concept bike at a motorcycle show. No one really expected Suzuki to make a production version, or at least one with such striking looks. I used to park mine outside the office in London and it would attract crowds of passers-by, with folk taking photos of themselves beside it.

It doesn’t look so avant garde now 🙂

Possibly the most fun bike I ever had.

Faster bikes would pass me on the straights but I’d overtaking them by cornering outside them. The looks on folks faces was always worth it 🙂
