Excuse my ignorance but I see a lot of posts about these on here, do they just run off normal V brake levers and how do they compare power wise to a hydro disc?

They do just run off normal v brake levers. They are up there with hydraulic discs - not quite as powerful as the latest shimano XT, but comparable to Elixirs in my experience.

yes they do - and they are comparable with most low/mid & some high end hydro discs. lots of feel with decent v levers.
easy to set up, and next to no maintainance. perfect winter brakes or hassle free all year round brakes.
£55 is a flipping bargain - On-One are cheapest online at £80 for a pair.I claim my commission now.
