    Just heard a song by Gregory Porter. If ever a singer didn’t need auto tune it’s this man. Same with Bublee.
    These people can sing, I don’t necessarily like their music.
    Why some producer feels the need to make them sound like robots I don’t know.
    It annoys the **** out of me and it’s down right insulting tof the artist.

    This is an extreme, it’s subtle use is quite widespread I’m led to believe

    Dixie Chicks did a great version of Landslide but it’s unlistenable due to auto tune. Too many songs are being ruined by this blight.

    too much ‘tune is as bad now as reverb was in the 80s – a band/produceer will come along that shuns it and is very popular, all will follow suit

    you are right about Gregory Porter, but not about Mickey Bubbles (he’s ropey, autotune on gigs)
