Has anyone had this done?

I’m Bipolar and have heard that this is really good for mental wellness.
It’s also really good if you have one leg longer than the other (which I have).

I am just wondering of any first hand experiences before I go and get this done.

Not heard of it before.

How much does it cost ?

It’s about £250 – £300. I was talking to an atlas specialist in Zagreb last week. I will get it done but was hoping someone on here has has it and let me know if it really is as good as they say.

It looks like quackery and/or witchcraft to me.

It’s witchcraft, and you will be handing over money to a fraud and a charlatan.

Seems kind of mental to me, I wouldn’t like to mess about with my c-spine the conciquences of it going wrong for me would be too high.

Have you spoken to your GP about it? even if it is just to ask for a referance to someone who could give you profesional oppinion?

Well over 500 cases have been documented where a patient has suffered a stroke after getting his or her neck manipulated and many have died subsequently. What seems to happen is that certain manipulations carried out by chiropractors – particularly those that involve forceful rotation of the neck to one side – may over-stretch an artery that runs along the spine. If that happens this vessel can dissect or disintegrate, resulting in a blockage of blood flow to the brain, ie. a stroke.

It’s your call, but I wouldn’t.

I have spoken to my GP about it.I gave her all the details.
She said she had no problem with me doing it.
I’m quite desperate to get my bipolar fixed so will try anything.
The manipulation mentioned by crikey is not the way it will be done.
It will be done using mechanical methods.

I can’t see that this will help other than as a placebo. I suspect that Bipolar isn’t something that can be ‘fixed’, and certainly not by paying £300 for this.

Are you sure your GP is fine with you paying that much for this unsubstantiated treatment?

Glad you have spoken to your GP and you seem to be genuinely trying to find out more about the procdure. I hope you can appreciate the doubs highlighed here and can go on to do further research to confirm the validity of the procedure and that you dont rush in and do something rash.

I’m worried that your desire to get well is perhaps making you look at things that are less than proven in dealing with your condition, and I’m not sure that this is the best thing to be trying out, with or without your GPs blessing.

This really doesn’t sound like a good idea to me; it’s unproven, it’s a step away from a tested method of help, and it will cost you money.

Please try to get other and more qualified opinions before you go into it.

The fact that this is being marketed as product is suspicious. Looks like something manipulating people in desperate situations.

It would be lovely if there was a fix for bipolar. Don’t get fooled by rubbish in your understandable desire to fix something painlessly when it is rather more complex than that.
