I have a saffier bike carrier at the moment but wish to change to a atera strada 4 bike carrier. My question is, when a bike is launched onto the carrier will the bike stay upright on its own while I fasten straps etc. The reason I ask this is that my bikes are hybrids which are fairly heavy and when I had a thule carrier before my saffier my wife had to hold them while fastening the bike on. This is not necassary on the saffier.
    Thanks in advance

I’ve got an Atera strada and the bikes don’t fully support themselves without help of the arm that attaches to the frame.
They will lean onto that arm though while the wheel straps are done up.
I’ve only used mine with mtbs but have no problem loading them on my own.

You have a forehead for a reason.

I’ve got a Strada and I just do the top tube strap up first, then the wheel ones.
