    Best use for old (or even new) inner tubes is to get extra purchase on stubborn jar lids.

    I’ve made elastic bands and puncture patches from old tubes.

    Not tried that. Does the butyl burn at the touch of a flame or do you need to fill the tube with flammable tinder?
