Going to replace my from rotor to see if 183 > 180 stops the noise I get when I put wait on the front – anybody running the Ashima super light rotors? I’d prefer good braking to a few grammes of weight, but if they work OK Merlin have them at a decent price for any sort of rotor at the moment.

Are you doing this without changing the mounts? If you don’t then the pads will only wear on about 70% of the pad area, and the unworn bits will touch and leave you with no braking.

Mount was changed, it was then I found out Hope used 183mm rotors .. I’d always assumed it was 180, and it appears it is for some of their brakes anyway. Had to space it back out to make it fit, but I’m sure it’s ‘sub optimal’ in many ways, hence getting a proper sized rotor to match with the mount & calliper.
I have a few spare pads, so I’ll bin the current ones if they aren’t working right.
