Pop over to Yesnaby and howl at the wind. If you can get the car door open that is. #orcadianlife

    A few Orcadians on here?

Yesnaby was always my go to spot to check out a storm in Orkney. The cliffs there are huge.

Rode some of the paths when I lived there but never linked much together in Orkney, surprisingly few trails around. Used to go fishing in the quarry/geo just south from Yesnaby near the stack, wouldn’t want to be near there today!

Telegrapgh had some photos, mostly of Ireland and Wales. Didn’t look so bad, not yet anyway.

Wife just phoned to say she’s stuck on the M77 at Flaok, ice and snow on the road. Luckily I’ve taken the car today and the autosocks are in the boot so I’ll be taking the back roads home 🙂

Lived in Kirkwall for 5 years late 90s…worked at the ‘drome. Good times…wild weather.
