usual Met Office overegging it as far as I can see. Sitting here at 600ft elevation south of Glasgow and it’s a bit windy, but nowt out of the ordinary

Very disappointed. Thought this was going to be the day for west to east KOM bagging. Bloody Met Office.

It was a moist and breezy paper round here in Dunblane (son is 13 on Saturday, so no longer have to get up and pedal round with him, yay!). I’ve put the power kite in the car for lunchtime….

Iain, did you use imperial to make it sound higher 😀

Down in Glasgow in the foothills of Mount EK it was a bit inclement, squally showers and a bit breezy. Nothing we don’t see three or four times a year.

Disappointing lack of lying sniw here at over 720ft and what’s falling is vertical rather than windblown. News from family in the Western Isles suggests it’s all been a bit of a damp squid so far.

Britain to be hit by entirely typical weather
TEMPERATURES in the UK are going to fall sharply over the coming weeks because that is what happens at this time of year, it has been claimed.
Meteorologists believe that winter, a spell of short, cold days commonly defined as a season, will be more or less exactly what you would expect.
Dunno, I am just back from a pretty hairy drive along the M8/M9 to Falkirk and back, made worse by the shiteyness of the fleet car.

Heavy sleet, standing water, trucks weaving about all over the place. Not fun ! And even worse, when I got there, I was in Falkirk.

We’re getting some decent waves here in Orkney. Here’s a link to some footage taken by someone braver than me!
