If you felt a crash replacement policy was important you should have bought a bike from a company that offered a crash replacement policy not from one that doesn't and then after you cause the problem complain about them not providing a service that they never claimed to provide.
Argon 18 has the worst customer service ever!!
Aww dont close it, its just getting interesting
Did you / are you going to take up Brants offer?
You may want to search for 'cracked titanium' on here first...... seeing how well this has gone for you
What happened to getting the frame repaired?
OP just step away from this thread and email Brant, and all this could end well.
I think it would be safe to say some members may have smelt the whiff of weakness from you and will just continue to try a wind you up, so really the more you add the dafter you will look.
If you would like a Planet X frame to replace your Argon18, and I can have your Argon18 frame to cut up and look at, we could offer you a discount. Can this be remembered please next time someone asks what is the point in moaning about something on STW?
I'm just waiting to see how closely the next Planet X road frame to come out resembles an Argon 18 :p
Chap - I had an Argon 18 frame that came with a carbon seat post. The seat post would never stay put and with a set of verniers on it, it became clear that the diameter varied along the length of the post. They sent me a new one out pretty quickly and the shop (lifecycleUK) lent me a much nicer Cyfac one until it turned up.
In this instance I'd say its the shop that's to blame - more than likely they haven't contacted Argon as in a busy workshop, coming up to a particularly busy time of year they're more interested in punting out new bikes than dealing with something that they'll make little if no money on.
If you don't go down the Planet X route, I know a bloke who does excellent carbon repairs - you've got my email so drop me a line.
