Hopefully they'll do some which are loose enough to fit knee pads under but tight enough at the ankle not to catch in the chain, then I can race BMX and 4X in them as well.

Do they come in sizes other than "Your sister's"?
Posted 9 months ago # -
I wonder if they come with the right leg rolled up more than the left..

Quite like those. Got two pairs of Howies Epic Eds in their recent sale, for less than half price - more than happy with them, and they're just the right side of respectable for work, too.

Yep

Not as bright as having lights you fixie riding tw.......(Tehmodsdon'tliketherestofthatword)

Form. Function. Cycling.
That's catchy.

anyone know when they're available in the uk?
Posted 9 months ago # -
Yey
Posted 9 months ago # -
I would, why not? I hacked off with perfectly good jeans that have worn at the denim/saddle interface.
Posted 9 months ago # -
Fine if you really want a D lock pushed through your hip bone I suppose.

What don simon says. i'll consider a pair
i'm fed up with getting holes in the crotch of my jeans (and hooking up the crotch on the saddle).

These guys are already selling them http://www.muxu.cc/muxu-ride-cycling-jeans.html/ look pretty nice too. I even ripped my howies epic jeans in the crotch so need something stronger

So they're waterproof, stretchy and low odeur... Either theyre telling porkies or they are not jeans at all.

Flashy, why such a hater potater?
Iz it coz you iz a bit podgy and woon't look good in them? Bit too old for the jeans and t-shirt look? More of a suit and trouser clips Brompton kinda guy?Is that what it is?
That's pretty much my Summer Urban Pootling 'look'. Rolled up jeans, t-shirt, trainers/sandals. Mind you, I can pull it off, what with being Well Buff™ an ting. I can appreciate such a look woon't work on others...
U iz just jelus.

They'll be like £80 until they hit TKMaxx yes?
**** that!

Fred, are you a fixietwat?
Posted 9 months ago # -
No, just a bloke who rides a bike around in That London, what does not in any way want to look like a proper spod. I just want to be comfy and not look too 'cyclist' really. Not the best look if you're meeting up with folk for drinks and stuff. 'Cycling clothing' is for long distance/all day riding, not for going down the pub or for a bite to eat.
Are you a Spod?

I used to have a fixed gear, both then and now I would not have these strides. Bandwagon much?
Levis do make some excellent sweatshops, but these are pretty weak. Extra high back? They haven't done their research.
I see the racing rollers have been an attempt at the scene, they should have gone with polo or a messenger for a more faux authentic look. I'm not happy about his shift from flats to drops on the pretend hill either.
Corduroy is all you need. It's just a shame they don't last as long as jeans

3M reflective tweed is where it's at.

The advert screams "don't actually wear these outside" if he tore the bike off the rollers at the end and went to do some fixie stunt around San Francisco, then maybe, but overall, no, they're tighter than a Yorkshireman in Ron Hill tracksters...

Heh Fred croozes Lahhdahn lookin' kewl and hanging out with chicks...or sits in the house on the 'puter?
Posted 9 months ago # -
Why the dig, Al?
Feeling you need to enjoy a bit of oneupmanship?
Bless...

That has to be the worst advert I've ever seen...

I am interested in this product.
Hopefully they will have considered the cyclist's physique - i.e. large thighs and 'seat', rather than the fixie rider's physique i.e. 13 year old girlPosted 9 months ago # -
Hopefully they will have considered the cyclist's physique - i.e. large thighs and 'seat',
Most of the really, really fast cyclists I know and have met, bar the odd Chris Hoy and that, have not had overly large thighs and certainly not fat arses....
You're talking about the 'Typical STWers' Physique', aren't you? Completely different.

What about those STWers that are 13 year old girls?

if they have specially reinforced crotches then yeah i might, all mine go there.
cos i have particularly abrasive genitals.
Posted 9 months ago # -
is cycling really that mainstream at the moment then..?
s'gotta be a good thing
(I won't be buying any)

Have you considered visiting a doctor to discuss this? Sounds very unpleasant. You may very well have Scrot Rot.
Posted 9 months ago # -
Not for me, I think the look pretty awful.
Posted 9 months ago # -
If you want to be up town and top rankin on your bicycle you need the tweed

MADE IN CHINA

Don't ask me how, as I'm not totally sure myself, but I just managed to ride to work in....wait for it.....totally normal clothes. You know, a pair of normal jeans, a normal t-shirt and some normal shoes (Well, FiveTen Freeriders, but not worn for the gnar).
What's amazing is, lots of other people were doing the same. I'd imagine that in other cities, there are also lots of people who managed to get around without "specialist" jeans this morning...
