Just wondering about purchasing an XTR crankset and when looking at chainrings on CRC I notice middleburn list a seperate chainring/s for XTR and I was wondering why?

    cheers

PCD is the same as std on mine mate so can use any rings on the 970’s but you will need some washers/spacers to get chainline right if you don’t use xtr rings (which have some sort of built in offset!)

Only need 2mm spacers on the granny ring if you don’t use M970 rings, use what you want otherwise.

The specific rings are for the 960 chainset.
