Im building a single speed light weight mtb and have been looking at lightweight chains .I currently run a sram hollow pin chain on my full sus and its been fine .I was looking at the KMC super light TI coated chains which weigh bugger all but reviews seem to show alot of snapages
For the extra few grams but less money should i stick with a sram chain? or is there other lightweight but pretty strong chains.

A SS isn’t the place to test chain strength ) No experience of the hollow pins though. Is there any tensile strength rating? On a SS there isn’t the shifting that can cause weakness / damage that leads to breakage, but still. I like heavy duty SS chains or std 8/9spds as new ie haven’t been used on a geared bike, and my kneecaps as they are.
