    I’ve used plenty of single ply wire bead Maxxis ghetto stylee and they are great.

    used both wire and kevlar beads. high rollers, swampthings and crossmarks. All single ply and all work well

    If they are wire, put them on and use a tube to inflate them for a day or so first. It helps put the shape in them and makes them easier to seal.

    I’ve used both SP and DP with stans no tubes. The SP wore out in 4 months being run at about 25psi. Never punctured until the sidewalls wore out from the flexing in gritty conditions. The dual plys work better, but obviously weigh a lot more. sealant required for both.
