I switched on Apple tv this morning and it automatically updated the software .
When I mirror videos onto my tv from a 2015 macbook pro there’s no sound. It’s fine from iTunes and I have no problem with my iPhone 6 plus. I like to stream Filmon to get some English tv in Austria but it’s not so much fun watching silent.
Is there an easy settings thing I need to change? I’ve had a look but can’t see any.

I had the same issue with mine a while ago. The only way I found of getting the sound back was to go into settings and restart the device from there.

There were no settings to alter that I could find, google didn’t really help either. I never did find out what the problem was, it seemed to come about after I’d started streaming from my phone after using the Macbook and vice versa.

Just reboot it – they do this occasionally after power loss too.

Mine does not regularly it’s a right pain in the arse.
