Anyone running Mavericks on an older gen MacBook? I’ve got a 4yr old MacBook running Mountain Lion, which has slowed down the boot up and shut down times a bit, but seems to run perfectly smoothly and happily despite the computers vintage. Would Mavericks be a step too far? Anyone any experience? Cheers.

would assume if ML runs then Maverick should run.

they decided mine was not shiny enough so decided it won’t be allowed to be updated beyond Lion, but is slightly older than 4 yrs old.

Cheers guys. Mines got the 2.26GHz dual core processor so I think it is ok. I’ll give it a go.
