    i’d imagine it’s pretty horrific on the ground, even more so when it gets to the poorer parts of the pacific

    I’ve never seen anything as horrible.

    Those poor poor people.

    There’s a nuclear plant in its path too.

    Disaster movie but real.

    They’ve downgraded the threat to NZ now, “Marine threat only” apparently.

    They are now saying that when the waves make landfall in the Americas they should be fairly minor but as for areas in closer range….

    Whilst feeling intensely sorry for people affected by this I can’t help marvelling at the sheer power of nature. Puts us in our place huh?

    It’s horrific.
    There’s a state of emergency at a nuclear power plant!
    Although I think their excellent building regulations & engineering have saved thousands more.
