  • Anyone used an 70–400mm F4–5.6 G SSM II with a Sony a6000?

As above really, it’s an A mount lens so I would need the converter. Im just torn between this and the e mount FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS.

I’ve used a similar combination. It won’t be stabilised and you’ll need an la-ea2 (or 4) which loses half a stop of light. The body is horrible to use with the giant lens on it too.

I’d get the 70-200 or an a7rii, la-ea3 and the 70-400 if your pockets are deep enough.

Or… get an a mount body to use the 70-400 with. An a58 costs little more than the la-ea4.

Thanks, the more I look at the FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS I think its a better option. I may want to move onto an A mount body later on anyway.
