  • Anyone use "sliders" for ab workouts

Just making new years’ resolutions about going more to the gym, and I came across “sliders” – basically slippery pads for doing various exercises.

Has anyone used these? Are they worth a shot? Or just another gimmick. (Actually, if a gimmick makes exercise more interesting it may be worth it!)

    A variation on the wheel.
Can be bloody hard work if done right.

If you got carpet floors just use paper party plates. Anything else is just a gimmick.
I’ve used slider type workouts and they can be really hard

Have used them in the past (pilates classes but the instructor mixes it up quite a bit) -adds an interesting variation, some/many of which you could otherwise do on a suspension trainer (eg human trainer or trx – tho the latter are a bit annoying on a few counts). And *far* more versatile than a wheel. But could use towels on a shiney floor – quite a few videos on YouTube.
