I properly cooked last night in the gym, no airflow at all in there and ended up cutting short each cardio activity
Was thinking I could get a small fan to take with me to blow on my face a bit as that’s what seems to bother me most
Anyone done this? If so what do you take?

Yes, he cheers me on and applauds when I do dips and lunges.

I do plenty of that as well. I do a session on monday nights to do some really high intensity cardio in the works gym. Plus i don’t have a cross trainer or rower at home

I’ve often pondered whether gyms keep temp a little ‘unfriendly’ to make people sweat more & feel better about their efforts?

That said, if I spotted someone on the treadmill with an oscillating pifco strapped to the front, I’d laugh 🙂

I just use my sports equipment to propel me along at about 22 mph and I find that the slipstream keeps me cool.

There’s a big “You’ll look like and even bigger knob” alarm going off at the thought of taking a fan in. I was hoping there would be some STW’er out there who’d done it

Not in this case, I work in estates dept. and know it’s not been built that way

    How about one of these?

Seriously though, don’t think you’d find anything discrete enough that’s not USB powered?

Possible to change gyms? Mine (DW) has fans build into the treadmills.

I take a towel along, as I can’t stand the feeling of sweat on my skin. But I’m the only one in my training group of 10 – there are some filthy people out there.

Obviously I was assuming that because the OP was so hot, there was no aircon.

there is air con, and i work in the office with the guys who manage it and they’ve not been able to get it working well. Think it’ll be a towel, but i sweat buckets when i’m running so i may need a bath sheet
