how long did they ignore your claim before paying back the overpayments collected into their coffers ?

Im beginning to think its dissapeared into the ether

Mine was turned around very quickly but the first call I made gave me some useless advice. The route to success involved copies of all relevant pay statements, bank details and a covering letter. Ince that was received the money was back with me in a couple of weeks.

If the advice you received was much different to the above then it might be worth another call.

Ive just contacted them about mine…… everything Prior to April should be paid in the next few days, April / May/ June I had to do wage slips for and should be credited within 28 days…..
I`ll keep you posted on the results

Was all pretty straightforward and quick when I did mine (that was about 7yrs ago though).
