Since selling my bouncy bike and having the hardtail nicked I need to find a bike!

I really just need a frame and forks.. anyone seen any good deals??

I need something 5-6'' and tough enough for occasional DH day (but still light)

does it need to be new? I wanted the bouncy ride setup this summer and i bought a 4 year old coiler and built that up. 6" front and rear … tough as nails, cheap as chips, light? no. fun? hell yeah.

re coiler.. hmmm, well tbh I've been spoilt having had a lovely Foes as my last bouncy bike. ..

the thing is it needs to be light enough to ride all day in the Peaks as well as being bounced off trees in Wharncliffe..

I haven't a budget in mind.. just wondering what's out there tbh!

just weigh it the STW way, ie. hover it above a set of kitchen scales and then declare it just under 30lbs*

hmmmm, the Devinci Hecktik looks rather good value although I can't find any reviews on the 2010 model (supposed to use proper bearings as opposed to bushings and tings)

Yeah Freeborn for the Spitfire, if you follow the links through their site theres loads of information about the design and the build options. Mine is 30lbs ish with a set of 32 Talas, SLX group, Pro2/Flows tubed 2.35 Maxxis, Wellgo Mags.
