Anyone running Deore calipers on Taperlock Slot Dropout Inbred

Cause I can't get the buggers to fit. It's like the caliper needs moving nearer to the wheel, but there's not enough adjustment in the caliper mounting bolts. Think it's because of the extra width of the Taperlock washer.

(Also, should it be bastard hard to get the rear wheel in?)

washers between the caliper and frame interface??

should push the caliper over enough.

That was my next plan, but seems an unnecessary bodge on a brand new frame, with brand new bits :/
