I’m guessing that this is still a niche product, so where better to ask the question than here!

I had a go on a hardtail with the Pinion 1.12 and belt drive system the other day and have to say I liked it very much. But wondered how they hold up in the long term? I see they have a 5 year guarantee, but it’s no good if it’s back for repair every other month through those 5 years!

So anyone got any long term(ish) experience of them?

I have a customer who has the older blue 1.1 fitted to frame he had a made for touring that was in 2012 and from how infrequent I see him I’d say it’s good he’s had nothing but good things to say and he winters in Italy riding there in Autumn and then back in late spring also being retired he’s always on the bike. When he gets back (any week now) I’ll get more details from him.

    Thanks CK. German engineering eh!
I was really impressed how smooth it all was, and the 12 gear one has a good large spread of gears.
